Dr Greg Hardes
Dr Greg Hardes has a Ph.D. in Epidemiology and an Honours Degree majoring in Psychology and Mathematics. Greg has over 30 years experience in health services planning including positions as Director of Health Services Development and Assistant Regional Director (Hunter Area Health Service) and Director of the Health Services Research Group (University of Newcastle). Since leaving the public sector Greg has consulted widely throughout the public and private sector in Australia and overseas.
He has extensive experience in demand/supply modelling and has advised upon demand trends and demand drivers to senior levels of Department of Health and Treasury in most Australian States.
Dr Stephen Ryan
Dr Stephen Ryan has both a medical degree (MBBS) and a mathematics degree majoring in Statistics (BMath) . For almost 10 years he worked at the Health Services Research Group (University of Newcastle) where he had primary responsibility for consultancies in relation to strategic planning, resource allocation and data management. Stephen developed the demand and supply methodology and projections of acute hospital activity used at various times by the NSW, WA, SA, ACT, Tasmania, Victoria, Queensland and Northern Territory Departments of Health in Australia. The demand/supply projections model – and associated scenario modelling capability – developed by Stephen, is available only through Hardes & Associates.
Stephen has been extensively involved in consultations with clinicians regarding current and future clinical trends.
Nathan Hardes
Nathan Hardes has a Bachelor of Science (Health Information Management). For 5 years he worked in the private sector as a Clinical Coder. Since joining Hardes & Associates in 2007 he has been involved in demand/supply projection analysis and services planning for Royal Hobart Hospital, Queensland Children’s Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital as well as market opportunity analyses, demand projections and services planning for over 70 private hospitals across Australia.
